Set among the sandy remains of an ancient glacial lake, the home embraces the site’s rolling topography, expansive water views, and native vegetation through a series of interconnected volumes that blur the boundary between architecture and landscape. Drawing inspiration from the character of one of the world’s great golf destinations, the residence balances clean architectural forms, natural materials, and thoughtful craftsmanship to create a home that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in its setting.

The home’s Modern Gable composition breaks the overall scale into a series of distinct pavilions, creating a sequence of gathering spaces, private areas, and glazed connections that frame the surrounding landscape.

Strong roof forms, proportions, and expansive openings establish an architecture that is both expressive and clean, allowing light, material, and landscape to become the defining elements of the experience. Rather than competing with the site, the architecture follows its contours, creating a sequence of spaces that unfold naturally from arrival to waterfront. A palette of limestone, vertical wood siding, standing seam metal roofing reinforces the home’s character. Refined detailing celebrate craftsmanship while allowing the residence to weather gracefully within the dunes. Throughout the interiors, exposed timber, stone, and warm wood create spaces that are tactile, welcoming, and connected to the landscape beyond.
