Rachel Hemstreet is an Interiors Project Associate in Northworks’ Chicago studio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture from Columbia College Chicago after beginning her studies at College of DuPage.
Prior to joining Northworks, Rachel gained experience with luxury hospitality and high-end residential design firms, contributing to projects both in the U.S. and internationally. She is drawn to the way thoughtful interiors can shape experience and enjoys developing environments that feel considered, engaging, and connected to their surroundings.
Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Rachel also spent several years living in Southern California. Outside the studio, she enjoys traveling, photography, yoga and Pilates, and long-distance running, completing her first marathon in 2025. Her interest in design extends well beyond the workplace—she is often documenting interiors and architectural details or creating mood boards inspired by the places she encounters.
