Perched along a rugged ridge above Jackson Hole, Sky Sanctuary is conceived as a modern refuge deeply connected to the vastness of the surrounding landscape.
The residence balances expansive transparency with grounded materiality, framing uninterrupted views of the Teton Range, the valley floor, and the Sleeping Indian while remaining anchored to the site through stone, steel, and wood. The architectural response was shaped by the experience of the land itself. Developed through close collaboration between architecture, interiors, and landscape, the home is organized as a series of pavilions lightly stitched into the terrain rather than a singular mass placed upon it. Low horizontal rooflines and solid stone walls nestle into the hillside, while expansive north-facing glazing opens the interiors fully to the landscape. The result is a residence that feels simultaneously sheltered and expansive—protected from the ridge behind while immersed in the panorama beyond.

The kitchen and adjacent family spaces were conceived as central gathering areas that maintain continuity with the outdoors.
Anchored by bespoke culinary elements, custom cabinetry, and expansive glazing, these spaces balance utility with openness, allowing entertaining, conversation, and daily life to unfold against the backdrop of the Tetons.
Private spaces continue the home’s immersive relationship with the site. The primary suite opens fully to expansive mountain views through wraparound glazing, while terraces and outdoor living spaces create moments of quiet retreat along the ridge. Across the property, stepped patios and native landscaping reinforce the feeling of living within the terrain rather than apart from it.
Sky Sanctuary is ultimately defined by restraint, clarity, and connection to place—a contemporary mountain residence shaped as much by light, horizon, and atmosphere as by the architecture itself.

Arrival unfolds as a carefully choreographed sequence of compression and release. Guests move along a linear approach framed by native planting and Montana Moss rock walls before crossing a glazed passageway elevated above the terrain. Conceived as both circulation and experience, the transparent connector dissolves the boundary between interior and exterior, offering curated glimpses of sky, stone, and distant mountains before revealing the primary living spaces beyond.
