Built on the belief that golf should be welcoming and accessible, the club pairs private membership with youth outreach, scholarship programs, and family-centered amenities to create a destination that extends beyond the traditional golf club.

As the first buildings completed on the property, the clubhouse and lodge established the architectural language for Old Barnwell. Working closely with the ownership team, Northworks developed a design that reflects both the character of the South Carolina landscape and the club’s inclusive philosophy. Drawing inspiration from the region’s agrarian and equestrian heritage, the architecture embraces familiar forms, honest materials, and a sense of timelessness inherent to both.

Throughout the clubhouse, a series of welcoming gathering spaces open toward views of the course. The standalone lodge offers a comfortable retreat for overnight guests, balancing warmth and refinement with the relaxed spirit of the club. Abundant natural light and locally inspired materials further connect the buildings to their surroundings.
